Jennifer Gentry
is a graduate of the Duke University School of Nursing as an adult and geriatric nurse-practitioner. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and is certified by the
American
Nurses
Credentialing
Center
as an Adult and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Gentry is a trainer with the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium and is active in teaching principles of palliative care to learners from all disciplines. Experienced in both acute care and long term care settings, Ms. Gentry was featured in the monograph, “Advance Practice Nursing: Pioneering Practices in Palliative Care” by the Center For Excellence in End of Life Care for her work in long term care. In addition to her work with the Palliative Care Service, Ms. Gentry is an active member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Jennifer’s clinical and research interests include nursing communication with patients and families at the end of life, supporting professional caregivers, and geriatric palliative care.
