Deborah Morgan, M.Div

Deborah Morgan obtained a Master of Divinity from the Duke University Divinity School where she received the Eastern Star Training Award for Religious Leadership. She is an ordained elder in the North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church , a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor and is a board-certified chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains. Rev. Morgan completed a residency in Clinical Pastoral Education at Duke University Medical Center and has served the Duke Cancer Patient Support Program as a counselor and assistant administrator. Currently, Rev. Morgan is a Senior Clinical Chaplain for Medical Surgical Critical Care, Oncology, and the Palliative Care Service. Rev. Morgan has been an advocate for palliative care in the ICU setting and has a strong interest in supporting staff dealing with difficult ethical and care issues.
