. Ms. Parker is a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor and is certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement, through the Association for Death Education and Counseling. Joanna has also served as a research assistant for the Program on the Medical Encounter and Palliative Care and as a counselor and hospital volunteer coordinator for the Cancer Patient Support Program at
